Restaurants in Cutler Bay: how to stand out
Southland draws shoppers and moviegoers year-round, and Southplace will add thousands of residents within walking distance. Restaurants that build their review base, delivery-app presence and family-focused South Miami-Dade campaigns now will be better placed for that new demand.
The big change is happening downtown. The former Southland Mall at 20505 South Dixie Highway is being transformed into Southplace City Center, a $1.5 billion project with roughly 5,000 homes, 500,000 square feet of retail and entertainment, a medical center and a hotel, right next to the county's new bus rapid transit line. In the meantime, Macy's, JCPenney, Regal and LA Fitness remain open. According to the Economic Development Council of South Miami-Dade, the town has about 2,430 registered businesses, with retail, healthcare, food service and public administration leading employment.

Cutler Bay grew quickly and filled up with young families who don't have their Friday-night spot yet — the place they'll keep coming back to. Those diners are up for grabs, but they decide on their phones: if your photos look weak or your reviews are old, they'll go with the place that looks better on Instagram. When a new family searches for somewhere to eat nearby, we want them to see you, crave what you serve, and make you their regular.
